number bubble is a casual multiplayer score‑keeper (an iOS app and the web app at numberbubble.com). This policy explains what it collects and why. The short version: it stores only what's needed to run a shared game, it does not track you, show ads, or sell data, and you can delete everything at any time. You can also play with friends nearby with no internet at all — see “Playing with friends nearby” below.
This data is stored in Google Firebase Realtime Database so that everyone in the same room sees the same live game. We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or photos.
The app also lets you play with friends on the same local network with no internet — for example on a flight. When you host or join a nearby game, your device uses its local network (Wi‑Fi peer‑to‑peer) to find and connect directly to the other devices, which is why iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time. In a nearby game your display name, bubble colour, and score are shared only with the devices in that game — they are not sent to our servers, to Firebase, or over the internet, and we don't store anything from a nearby game.
The app signs you in with Firebase Anonymous Authentication — there is no email or password, and it isn't linked to a real identity. It exists only to authorise game writes to your room.
Your chosen name, colour, last room, and a few preferences (haptics, keep‑screen‑awake) are saved locally on your device so the app remembers them between sessions.
number bubble is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We use Google Firebase (hosting, database, and anonymous authentication) to run the game. Data is processed under Google's privacy practices — see policies.google.com/privacy.
